Team Desi is a borderless roller derby team bringing together Desi skaters from around the world to connect, celebrate their heritage, and compete as a community.

Desi identity extends beyond geography, encompassing a wide range of national backgrounds, religions, languages, traditions, and shared experiences. In a sport where Desi and South Asian representation remains limited, Team Desi is creating a space for skaters to celebrate their identities while showcasing the talent and vibrancy of Desi athletes on an international stage.

Thread Sweat & Tears will donate 50% of the profits from every Team Desi jersey sold directly to Team Desi.

As part of their commitment to supporting the broader Desi community, Team Desi will direct a portion of the funds they receive from this fundraiser to support Desi people currently detained in ICE facilities.
